SIX CONCEPTS FOR CLEAN SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION:

AFFORDABLE HIGHWAY CAPABLE ELECTRIC VEHICLES and INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THEIR UNLIMITED RANGE OF OPERATION
Overview

This project aims to build a prototype of a four-seat electric low-speed vehicle (NEV) properly adapted to safely reach highway speeds. Then, tested and evaluated for commercialization with a final price lower than any entry level conventional gasoline powered automobile, with batteries included. The project will go through further stages culminating with advanced yet price competitive vehicles with unlimited range, running on an absolute zero emission transportation system.

CONCEPT ONE: An existing NEV (Low speed Neighbourhood Electric Vehicle) loaded with a pack of 25 12V. lead-acid batteries to supply 300V of power to a larger electric motor through a compatible controller. Chassis reinforcements and a novel proprietary ancillary equipment will be applied for the vehicle to bear the weight and volume of the batteries and run safely at highway speeds.

It will be also range anxiety free, with the ability to have its batteries swapped to freshly charged ones and keep on running. The operation would take a few minutes at roadside by a slightly modified AAA tow-truck, traveling inside a patented carrying crate (Concept 4 of the project); or in a couple of seconds at a carwash type automated stationary charging/swapping station (Concept 3).

At the retail end, we anticipate the estimated price of $7,000 for a four passenger NEV automobile w/out the batteries.
For the 300V – 25KWh. battery pack $5,000
Ancillary equipment, controller upgrade, etc. $3,000
Sub total $15,000
Minus governments rebates – $10,000
Total cost: $5,000

For an extra $5,000 you could get a pack with advanced lead-acid batteries (Firefly, Ebonex, Axion Power, Ultra(CSIRO)battery, etc.) and have a worry free operation for about ten years with added benefits on performance, range and weather tolerance.

CONCEPT TWO: A pat. pending novel concept of an eight ft. long, five-seat crossover concept EV codenamed “Concept 2” designed from the ground up around a similar interchangeable 300V. power-pack. It will feature several other (23) advantages over anything else on the streets or drawing boards, accepting also advanced batteries whenever they come into the market in affordable packages.

CONCEPT THREE: Unmanned carwash type charging/exchanging station able to serve up to 38,400 vehicles daily, uninterruptedly 24/7. Each swapping operation will take a mere couple of seconds. It was designed to fit inside any gas station without interfering with regular petrol products business.

CONCEPT FOUR: A pat. pending reinforced crate for roadside use and to transport the interchangeable container filled with interconnected batteries. It will be equipped also with a novel device able of dispensing and extracting the pack to and from the vehicle during the roadside assistance done by AAA a tow truck operator in a few minutes.

CONCEPT FIVE: A novel electrified highway lane, a wireless system that will give unlimited range to EVs. while recharging their batteries, providing motorists with auto-pilot, safe high-speed commuting, infotainment, etc. Installing solar panels and wind turbines along the way will be creating an absolute zero pollution transportation system independent from the main grid. Besides environmental, public health and safety benefits, this concept obviously will generate outsource-proof jobs and promote energy independence while improving also the flow of highway traffic.

CONCEPT SIX: A novel “garage” railcar, where you can drive your “Concept 2” EV right into the convoy and stay inside your vehicle for the duration of the entire trip, coming out of it just to go to the bathroom, grab something to munch on or just to stretch your legs. You and your vehicle would be quite capable of doing all the manoeuvrings in and out of the railcars, plus to lower the suspension to the ground and make it as firm as a built-in fixture during the train ride. The concept will allow travelers to move faster, and from door-to-door on their long trips without having to depend on public transit transfers, car rentals, etc., and the railway companies will save on furniture, fixtures and indoors decoration on those railcars. You will no longer have to go to outskirts of the city to board your train; as you are driving an emissions free vehicle, you could drive onboard, indoors and right in the heart of the cities (e.g. St. Pancras or Waterloo stations in London, Gare du Nord in Paris, Midi in Brussels, etc.) along all other ticket holders. The concept vehicle would also be able to change the position of the driving interface (ex-steering wheel) attached to the novel digital display screen (ex-dashboard gadgets) to the right side of the vehicle and vice versa with a flick-of-a-switch, plus have its power pack plugged-in during the trip to arrive fully charged for the final destination. Handicap drivers and passengers could also have full benefit from the concept. The idea appeals especially to European and Asian high-speed trains and will encourage Americans to build similar lines without driving people to give up the comfort and convenience of their own cars. “Maglev” carbon free ultra high-speed convoys, also carrying EVs. could eventually replace all airlines flying over solid terrain.
